At this stage of my career, after careful consideration, I believe this is an excellent opportunity to apply my expertise, and insights as well as continue my personal growth.
How has the program influenced your perspective on becoming a board advisor so far?
I'm thrilled about this opportunity. The timing is perfect because I'm already working with a founder in the Tampa area, offering guidance and thought leadership.
The Connectd program has made me carefully assess my personal brand and the value I can bring with over 35 years of experience. The self-paced training modules provide excellent insights for pivoting one's career towards Board Advisory roles.
What specific skills or knowledge have you gained in the programme that you feel will be most valuable for your transition?
When you develop a Board Advisory mindset, you enhance all your skills specific to strategic thinking, critical analysis, research, active listening, communication, emotional intelligence (as this isn't your company - you are an advisor), decision-making (how your experience helps in making informed choices), and mentorship.
How has the programme's content or structure supported your learning and development up to this point?
I have found the training modules informative, and the site contains valuable content to aid in your development. The knowledge provided by the assigned mentorship program will be crucial for my personal growth.
What are you most excited to apply from what you've learned in the programme, as you continue your journey toward becoming a board advisor?
