Reflecting on 2024, I can safely say that it was yet another exciting, eventful and successful year for the Connectd team and our members.
As a company, we set our sights on strengthening our product offerings, improving our services and adding new features to the platform, whilst also growing our team to provide our members with the best support available in the early-stage space. With the support of all our stakeholders - advisors, customers, advocates and shareholders - and despite setbacks and challenges, we achieved so much and learnt a lot along the way!
We’ve now been operating in Miami for over 12 months and are incredibly excited to have recently expanded into New York, providing us with another base from which to support the incredibly dynamic US startup ecosystem. We’ll be holding an official launch event in New York on January 16th so please spread the word to anyone who may be interested in attending.
2023 was a very busy year for our product and development teams but it’s safe to say that 2024 saw even more platform updates and new features - 55 to be exact! With Placement Search providing advisors and founders the tools and insights to find the right opportunities, new Check-In features to help us support your journey, and improved messaging functionality to help forge meaningful connections, we launched a range of incredibly valuable new features throughout last year.
We also partnered with some stellar global organisations including Google Cloud, Rothschild & Co, and Barclays to provide our members with exclusive benefits, specialist events and access to industry-leading support, resources and development programmes.
All that said, I know 2024 was challenging for many across the early-stage ecosystem but I do think we have cause for cautious optimism. With the UK maintaining its position as the second-highest funded tech startup ecosystem globally - second only to the United States - and Europe seeing a resurgence in the wake of the Green Deal, 2025 holds plenty of potential for global growth!
